Building a better future for Nepal's children
Friday the Thirteenth is normally associated with superstition and bad luck, but last Friday we had a great evening at the Royal British Legion in Lower Gornal. In keeping with the Jubilee theme, a super job had been done decorating the room and many made the effort to come dressed in their patriotic red, white and blue – surely a prelude for many other events we will see over the Summer.
Fantastic live music was provided by Johnny Vincent and the Whirlwinds, and they were supported by a great play list from K4K Disco. It gave us a full evening of outstanding music and if only time had allowed, I’m sure we could have gone on for a good while longer! And with over £400 raised thanks to the generosity of those attending, it was a successful evening all round. Many thanks to all those who attended and helped to make it such an enjoyable night.
